Welcome to the innovATE blog.
This blog reflects my personal quest for a better way to encourage and promote innovation. How? By bringing together, shaking up and mixing the unique, and generally conflicting, perspectives of Arts, Technology-science and Environment-ecology.
My focus is not on innovation for its own sake, but rather as a means to create innovative community that is sustainable economically, socially and environmentally.
I am collecting visual, oral and written examples of this process at work to share with our partners. I hope that you will join in that effort. If, in your travels, you have seen outstanding examples of people bringing these perspectives together to produce innovative services, products or community, please share your experiences. Photos and links with your comments will work beautifully. Descriptions of "gathering places" where these perspectives are part of the innovation process will be very helpful. I will do the same as often as I can.
The wonderfully talented team at Partners for Innovative Community, Inc. (where I am CEO) has chosen the word innovATE to express the process where these perspectives are beginning to converge and produce innovative solutions. Partners' mission is to improve that process so that everyone can be involved and benefit.
